Can anyone receive chiropractic care?
While many people can benefit from chiropractic care, it may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain medical conditions. Consult with your chiropractor to determine if chiropractic care is appropriate for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT YOUR FIRST VISIT
We are excited you chose Dr. Sheldon's for your chiropractic needs. When you arrive for your first visit, you will fill out the necessary forms to get started. Then you will meet with your chiropractor to go over medical history, work and activities, and describe any aches and pains you are experiencing. Your chiropractor may have you lay on an intersegmental traction table (roller table) to help loosen up your muscles before your adjustment. After this, your chiropractor will bring you to the adjustment table and direct you where to sit or lay. You chiropractor will talk with you through your appointment to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. Your session will last about 15-20 minutes total. After your adjustment you should drink lots of water to help flush out toxins that have been released from the muscles and joints, and to reduce inflammation.
